I really liked this one. I read it during a busy, difficult time.

Becky Chambers builds a very interesting world, a glimpse into a big cosmos.

We start of in the confines of a space ship, seeing it through the eyes of someone who left their old life and their old self behind to start over. And as they start over, we both - the protagonist and the reader - figure out our way through this cosmos full of different species, new technology and old traditions and the reality of societies. I love how we're gently expanding this glimpse into politics, planets, factions and get sucked deeper and deeper into the dynamics of the ship's crew and the galactic diplomacy - without being overwhelmed or bored.

It's a very nice, cozy Sci-Fi story in a beautiful, diverse and interesting universe.
